the final outcome..fresh and organic jewelry!

Fine Silver Jewelry, Fine Silver Earrings!

Fine Silver Earrings, Oxidised, gives a soft black finish, which contrasts wonderfully with any color.

The silver is first cut on the inside in a leaf shape, then cut on the outside for the flower. A small disk

is added to the ear wire for interest.

I have added Austrian Swarovski crystals to these next few earrings.

As much as I love vitreous enamels, sometimes they need an extra Bling!

My main focus is to attract light...I wear jewelry to attract attention...end of story, right?

So, the best way to attract attention, light,  is to reflect light!

Fine silver, sterling silver, 24kt gold , and lead glass crystal, all reflect light beautifully!

Hand pressed, fine silver flowers, applied to the vitreous enamels!  So now, we have the handcrafted

flavor of glass on metal, coupled with fine silver....these earrings attract attention!

A Little Bit About My Process

Hi , Just sharing a bit about how I create my enamel jewelry.

Plain copper shapes ready for enamel powders

Copper forms are my first priority.....next is cleaning, shaping, and doming. This may take a day or two, depending on the number of shapes.

Colors are fun to try ...mainly I start with white and kiln fire to 1500 degrees to create a base. More cleaning,

then I sift glass enamel powders onto the metal forms. Firing , possibly mutiple times , always

 paying attention to the back of the pieces. These need to be sifted and fired as well.

Sculptural Enamel Earrings, Sun Yellow

These glass enamel earrings are tumbled to smooth the edges and refine the colors. This process takes up to 2 hours. I love to create sculptural pieces.


Sterling silver ear wires complete the look!
